I thought you might enjoy meeting a couple of the real animals who share my heart and home... My own pets...

Gracie - named for a *lack* of grace - was a feral kitten that came to our back door regularly to eat, & play w/ our Eevee thru the screen. When it turned cold outside, we tried to bring her in & make her part of the family (much to her dismay). Gracie quickly decided that she wanted to live outside as she made a run for it when she saw the opportunity. She's still around outside, and visits us every day or two to eat food left on our back patio and on rare occasions, even allows us to pet her for a few seconds.

Eevee is a dwarfed Tabby. We found her abandoned, at a state park with her mouth glued shut - I don't know if she was a victim of abuse or got into something on her own - but she couldn't eat or drink because of it. We got her all fixed up and adopted her.  She's a constant source of affection and amusement, we may have 'rescued' her, but she's been a blessing for us

My house may be ruled by cats for now... but dogs have a home in my heart and will always lay faithfully at the foot of my imagination.
