Commissioning Artwork & Business Logos

If you are interested in having a custom artwork created just for you, I do offer a limited number of comissioned orders each year.

How to commission an original artwork:

Pet Portrait:
You can commission a Portrait of your pet on paper or canvas. My portraits are not an exact 'photocopy' of your pet, but are unique PetCatures, in that they are my own wacky version of how >> I << see your pet and it's unique personality.

For best results, I will need at least 2 clear photos of your pet, including a good face shot, (send more if you have them!) If the good face photo is not the same photo as that of your favorite pose, haircut, toy, costume, etc. please send those as well and include a note if you want those things included in your portrait. Photos are returned with the completed artwork. Please also include a note with your pet's name, gender, and tell me a little something about them ~ traits, behaviors, etc. that make them stand out from your other pets, (It helps me to capture their personality!).

My Commissions Schedule:

I am often working on multiple projects and orders at any given time so if you'll be needing the portrait by a certain date, please email me prior to buying to be sure I can meet your timeframe.

The number of commissioned portrait openings I can fit into my schedule is limited. If/when unexpected openings occur due to cancelations, small portrait openings will be auctioned HERE and will be awarded to the highest bidder.

If you would like to be notified when these small size portrait openings are up for grabs, simply contact me to request to be added to my Portrait Interest list, or add yourself, HERE. Your information is never shared with anyone/anywhere.

PAYMENT: When commissioning ANY custom artwork, payment in full is due within 10 days of purchase. If payment is not received by the due date, your order may be cancelled and the opening will be offered to the next highest bidder. (Especially if you do not respond to your winning notice). If your payment was not made due to extenuating circumstances, I'll be happy to have you bid again at a later time when the circumstances have been resolved.

I will email you with scans of the portrait sketches to be certain you approve of my plans to best capture your pet's personality. Upon completion, I will email you with images of the final artwork and I'll let you know when it's scheduled for shipment.

Copyrights:

I retain 100% copyright to all NON-logo custom art... My customers (portrait or otherwise) are purchasing the original artwork not the right to reproduce it in any form without my prior written permission.

I may decide to reproduce Non-Portrait custom art, however with portrait art, even though I reserve all copyrights, I do not make reproductions of your portrait available to the general public without your explicit permission, out of respect for the special bond you share with your pet. As a bonus for portrait customers, portrait art is often uploaded to a hidden area in my Cafepress store (created just for you) for private viewing only; (A private store where you can purchase your pet art on gifts and share the link with whomever you wish. It can only be accessed through the private link).

LOGO Art (i.e., Business Logos, Web Graphics, Event/ Concert Art, etc.

I offer custom logo creation for your animal-related business. Unlike my custom portrait schedule, Logos will only be limited by the number of projects on my schedule in any given season. When you order a custom logo, you receive a digital copy of the finished logo. This enables you to not only put your new logo on a website, but print it on anything from business cards and brochures to shirts and mugs. You will not own copyright to individual animal or breed caricatures, but you WILL own copyright to the final logo itself.

LOGO Design, Web Graphics, etc.:
$100/hour (Will be $125/hour for projects scheduled after December 31, 2009)

$100/hour... Pre-Payment for the first hour is required to be placed on my schedule (non-refundable deposit). After the 1st hour of work is completed, you'll receive a running tally of total number of unpaid billable hours as we collaborate on your project, so you're never surprised with the final invoice. You'll be invoiced by email when the logo has been completed to your satisfaction. Payment in full, (by Paypal, or major non-paypal credit card), will be received prior to email-delivery of the high-resolution (print quality) image file.

HOW IT WORKS...
No surprise invoices - Through the initial design phase, you are contacted at the end of each hour worked so you can either approve the design or request further changes. Once the design is set, you're contacted at the end of each stage of work (inking/coloring, digital merging, etc.) rather than hourly. If you'd like to reserve my next available opening, just let me know

I also offer Cafepress shop creation where you can buy and sell your new logo on various promotional items (not applicable on non-logo designs) - Everything from t-shirts and aprons to mugs and postcards. Rates are currently the same as for Logo Design ($100/hr). Cafepress shop creation includes uploading/placing the logo on products, shop layout, implementation of a sleek shop template and minor custom html coding, (adding your logo, links, etc.). I also provide Cafepress shop maintenance, as requested, (tweeking a design for new products, adding the new products to the shop, etc.).
