Kim Niles is an award winning, full-time Artist and children's book Illustrator from WA state. Her earliest art memories include Play-doh pets, finger painting and sculpting sun-melted crayons. Despite her best efforts, she was deemed a "day-dreamer" in school ~ always envisioning animals where none existed... Focus rarely came easy when the subject was not art or animal-related. Kim continued to express herself artistically throughout childhood, taking any art class her schools had to offer. At age 18, she married her Jr. High sweetheart and spent several years as a military spouse and soon a busy mother of 2 ~ Her family lived in Germany for a stint before they finally left military life and returned home to WA state where Kim eventually rediscovered her love for art.

Renewing her creativity through 3D collaborations with nature in her stone and cypress knee paintings, she soon branched out to the more traditional grounds of canvas and paper, and began her journey toward illustration. Kim now works full-time selling her art and art gifts across the globe through ebay, cafepress and her own website. Her works are in private and corporate collections throughout the US, Canada, Australia, Belgium, Germany, Japan, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK. Corporate collectors include recording studios in the US and Canada, as well as the offices of the Nestle Purina PetCare Co.

Kim is currently living on the beautiful Whidbey Island in WA state, & working on her next children's book.
